Job summary

A public-listed company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager/Manager to oversee company secretarial matters. The ideal candidate must be a licensed company secretary with 5-8 years of experience, strong knowledge of statutory regulations, and excellent communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Chinese. This role involves preparing statutory documents, organizing meetings, and liaising with regulatory authorities.

Assistant Manager / Manager - Company Secretarial

We are a public-listed company on Bursa Malaysia with diverse business interests in the automotive and manufacturing sectors. As part of our continuous growth, we invite an experienced and meticulous professional to join our Group Corporate Office to manage and oversee company secretarial matters for the Group of Companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing, reviewing and filing statutory documents in compliance with the Companies Act 2016 and Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements.
  • Organize and prepare materials for Board, Committee and shareholders' meetings, including drafting minutes and resolutions.
  • Maintain and update statutory records, registers and corporate documents.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, external auditors and company secretary firms.
  • Support corporate exercises, including share issuance, restructuring and other governance initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and advice on company secretarial and corporate governance matters.
  • Undertake any other responsibilities or duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements
  • Licensed Company Secretary under the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) and/or member of MAICSA/ICSA.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably with a listed company or corporate secretarial firm.
  • Sound knowledge of Companies Act 2016, Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements and other statutory regulations.
  • Excellent commands of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Chinese (spoken and written) is required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking directors and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive and able to work independently with tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with Board members, senior leaders and external stakeholders.
