Job summary

A prominent construction firm in Petaling Jaya is seeking a Landscape Architect to prepare and monitor landscape plans, attend client meetings, and review project phases for compliance. Ideal candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture with experience in highrise and township developments. Strong skills in project management and plant selection are essential, alongside proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years – 6 years working experience in consultant & property development industry preferred.
• Experience in Highrise, landed & township Development.
• Understanding of conservation issues.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor landscape costing according to the company’s budget.
• Attend Client & Consultant Meetings for planning and technical discussions.
• Monitor and review work during the Concept design, Submission, Tender, and Award processes.
• Assist in site implementation and construction processes.
• Conduct site evaluations and manage monthly claims.
• Assist Marketing Department with brochure and model preparation.

Job Brief

The practice of landscape architecture includes: site analysis, site inventory, site planning, land planning, planting design, and ensuring that all plans meet the current building codes and local and federal ordinances.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor landscape costing according to the company’s budget.
• Participate and attend Client & Consultant Meeting for the overall planning, landscape master plan and technical meeting.
• To monitor and review work during:
• Concept design process
• Submission process
• Tender and Award process
• Site Implementation and construction process
• Site evaluation and monthly claim
• Site completion and handover process to local authorities
• Maintenance and defect work
• Assist Marketing Department during brochure and Model preparation
• To conduct & assist all landscape Direct Award:
• Playground
• Landscape lighting
• Indoor Games
• Indoor Gym
• Outdoor Furniture
• Other Facilities
• Other tasks assigned by your superior from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architect or equivalent.
• At least 4 years – 6 year working experience in consultant & property development industry will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Highrise, landed & township Development.
• An understanding of conservation issues.
• Possess good organizational skills, creative and practical skills
• Strong knowledge on soft landscape, hard landscape and plants selection/maintenance.
• Good written and spoken in Bahasa Malaysia & English.
• Able to work independently.
