We are seeking a dedicated and forward-thinking Information Technology Section Head / Information Technology Assistant Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of the company’s IT operations and digital infrastructure. This role requires a hands‑on leader who can take full accountability for the department’s performance, guide a team of IT officers, and drive continuous improvement through innovation and technology adoption.

The ideal candidate will be responsible not only for maintaining operational stability but also for spearheading digital transformation initiatives, ensuring that all software, hardware, and technology systems effectively support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Departmental Leadership & Accountability

Take full ownership and accountability for the performance and operations of the IT department.

Lead, mentor, and develop IT officers and technical staff to ensure efficient task execution and professional growth.

Establish departmental goals, KPIs, and work plans aligned with organizational strategy.

Ensure compliance with company policies, IT standards, and regulatory requirements.

2. IT Infrastructure & System Management

Oversee all IT infrastructure, including network systems, servers (physical and virtual), endpoints, and cybersecurity.

Manage and maintain mission‑critical systems such as:

Accounting and Financial Systems

Inventory and Warehouse Management Systems

Office and Cloud Productivity Tools (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, etc.)

Apple MacOS / Ecosystem and Cloud Productivity Tools

Plan and execute upgrades, replacements, and integration of systems to ensure optimal performance and scalability.

3. Digital Solutions & Innovation

Lead R&D efforts to explore, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies that improve efficiency, data management, and user experience.

Conduct feasibility studies and pilot testing of new software and hardware solutions.

Collaborate with management and other departments to identify digital transformation opportunities.

Drive the development or customization of new software systems to support business innovation.

4. IT Operations & Support

Oversee day‑to‑day IT operations, ensuring system uptime, data security, and reliable user support.

Manage help desk functions and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.

Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies, SOPs, and best practices for effective governance.

Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality and cost‑effective support.

5. Budgeting & Resource Management

Manage the IT department’s annual budget, ensuring cost efficiency and effective allocation of resources.

Monitor and control IT assets, licenses, and hardware inventory.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSE, ITIL, PMP) are an advantage.

Minimum 3 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

Proven experience managing IT infrastructure, business systems (POS, accounting, inventory), and team leadership.

Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, Firewalls, VPN, VLAN).

Hands‑on experience with Windows Server, macOS, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).

Experience in systems integration, database management, and business software customization.

Understanding of data backup, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery planning.

Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Analytical and solution‑oriented mindset.

Ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on technical involvement.
