We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Assistant Manager Fund Admin Operations

Job Purpose

Ensures the effective management of the Fund Admin Operations group in HSBC (M) Trustee Berhad (KLT FS) to maximise long term business performance whilst minimising regulatory and reputational risks. It is highly essential to ensure that amidst the increasing regulatory pressure through the Securities Commission and the repositioning of the Fund Accounting and Valuation business, there is proper management and control over the operation of the Fund Admin section.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Ensuring quality and timely NAV valuation and reporting are provided to clients and support the respective stakeholders within SLA and set deadlines.
  • Perform Third Level Checking for assigned fund timely, and able to detect of any error/issue with immediate rectification.
  • Construct and deliver the full set of financial statement as per the regulation, local requirement and in line with the IFRS/MFRS policy.
  • Manage all clients’ instructions promptly and address it within the agreed SLA and set deadlines.
  • To follow‑up, track or work with break owners to resolve the securities and cash breaks.
  • Ensuring all fees are accounted/accrued for in the accounting system and to check the accuracy of the issuance of the fee invoice before sending to client and follow‑up with clients on payments.
  • To handle all transaction processing on behalf of the Fund which encompass TRADE, CA, FOF, FX, TMD, CASH payments/settlements.
  • Work collaboratively and follow up closely with other KLT teams on any matters/issues relating to Fund Admin operations to fulfil client’s needs.
  • By providing on‑the‑job training and proper guidance and identifying the staff development requirements.
  • Monitor productivity levels and contribute towards process improvements at a flexible yet professional manner.
  • To manage the day‑to‑day operations of Fund Admin team and take full charge of the team in the absence of Fund Admin Manager. Support the Fund Admin Manager in project, process improvements, initiative and building a team.
  • Ensure the operational efficiency of Fund Admin functions.
  • Lead and take charge on assigned process re‑engineering projects.
  • Identify team development and providing on‑the‑job training/guidance.
  • To provide leave coverage in the absence of Fund Admin Operations Manager.
Requirements
  • A degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • At least 3‑year experiences or with sound knowledge of fund accounting and client reporting within Fund industry.
  • Ability to work independently and cautiously with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Expected to plan, manage and co‑ordinate the day‑to‑day operation within priorities and service level agreed internally & externally.
  • Mature, independent and able to work well under pressure.
  • A highly accountable individual, self‑starter and results oriented.
