Job Description

Negotiate for the most competitive rates and source optimal shipping solutions to maximize potential earnings to fulfill the containerized shipments requirement to destination markets.

Responsible for supporting refineries operation in planning and executing efficient transportation from the point of origin to the point of discharge via sea modes whilst meeting customer requirements in a timely, cost-effective manner.

To ensure the maintenance of new and existing SDO Centralized Freighting Standard Operating Procedures ("SOP") together with Business Units ("BUs")/Process Owners as well as to ensure the SOPs are streamlined to Group Policies.

Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or customer issues as and when required and carry out continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities.

Efficient data analysis working with Group Digital team to generate reports on freight spend, top destinations and service provider management.

Updating Container Movement Datasheet, Monthly Freight List, Containerized Market Outlook, providing reports, as and when needed.

Other duties as required by the company.

Job Requirements

Preferably a degree holder in any maritime discipline or professional qualifications in shipping, transportation or any logistics and supply‑chain discipline.

Preferably possess a minimum of 6‑7 years’ experience as a Shipper in container freighting/freight forwarders/shipment planning/operation activities and other logistics discipline in a manufacturing environment.

Well versed in technical related to logistics such as import/export and customs regulations.

Strong negotiation and problem‑solving skills.

Incoterms contract terms and detailed understanding of export and import documentations & procedures.
