Assistant Manager, FMD Operational Risk Management Unit

  • Primary driver to assist Unit Head of FMD Ops Risk Management to implement the following programmes for AmFunds Management Bhd (AFM), and AmIslamic Funds Management Sdn Bhd (AIFM) [(collectively called Fund Management Division (FMD)):
    • (a) Business Continuity Management (BCM) programme, including BCM framework, policies, guidelines, practice guides & tools.
    • (b) Technology & Cyber Security Risk Management (TCSRM) programme, including TCSRM framework, policies, guidelines, practice guides & tools.
  • Secondary role to assist Unit Head of FMD Ops Risk Management to implement the following programmes for FMD:
    • (b) ESG agenda, including regulatory requirements on ESG related to risk management
  • To assist the Unit Head of FMD Ops Risk Management to maintain expenses within Department budget
  • Complete, accurate & timely review and implementation of BCM & TCSRM programmes, and ESG agenda (where applicable)
  • Complete, accurate & timely review of call tree report, BIA, test report
  • Complete, accurate & timely submission of BCM & TCSRM reports for Management, Forum, Committees and Board
  • Complete, accurate & timely assessment of due diligence for inbound and outbound stakeholders in respect of BCM & TCSRM
  • Assist Unit Head, Ops Risk to provide periodic training to FMD staff and other stakeholders on BCM & TCSRM
  • Complete, accurate & timely review of BCM & TCSRM Manual on annual calendar year basis
  • Complete, accurate & timely review of BCM & TCSRM risk appetite, framework, policies, guidelines & practice guides
  • Complete, accurate & timely completion of Checklist in the implementation of BCM & TCSRM programmes (including vendor)
  • Assist in timely review completion of Checklist in the implementation of ORMS programmes
  • Implement saving of relevant information based on departmental numbering system in the department shared folder
  • Self‑compliance, and staff compliances, with the spirit and letter of regulatory & internal framework, policies, guidelines & practice guides, and SOP
  • Keep abreast with changes in regulatory requirements, and industry development in fund management industry, including on Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG)
  • Complete eLearning programmes and departmental Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programmes
Requirements
  • Higher Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Business, Actuarial Science, or similar fields
  • 1-3 years experience in Banking, Finance, or Asset Management industry
  • 1-3 years experience in operational risk or operational risk‑related functions
  • Good understanding of work processes in IT environment and service levels
  • Proficient with relevant regulatory requirements, industry best practices and policies
  • Appreciation towards shariah business and risk matters related to asset management industry
