Job summary

Assistant Manager, Finance & Accounts (Petaling Jaya)

Role Description:

This role will be a full spectrum of finance and accounting support, work closely with the property managers and service providers.

The Assistant Manager is responsible for providing with accurate and timely finance and accounting support in line with their ongoing business needs, and for maintaining compliance with relevant statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage full set of accounts including general ledger, AP/AR (SOA & Aging), journal entries, bank reconciliation, and monthly closings.

Prepare timely and accurate financial reports – monthly, quarterly, and annually.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting and monitoring of actual performance vs budget.

Oversee project accounting – including progress billing, cost tracking, and loan drawdowns.

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (SST, Corporate tax, TP, RPGT) and liaise with auditors/tax agents/ co-sec/ lawyers.

Handle billing and collection for rental, utilities, carpark, and claims; ensure timely vendor payments.

Maintain proper documentation and uphold internal controls and accounting standards.

Support process improvements and contribute to system enhancement initiatives.

Able to lead and guide the mall Finance & Accounts team.

Qualifications:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. ACCA/CPA/MIA qualification is an advantage.

2–4 years of relevant experience, preferably in property development or construction.

Proficient in full set of accounts and property-related finance (e.g., progress billing, loan drawdown).

Solid knowledge of MPERS or MFRS and Malaysian tax regulations.

Skilled in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., IFCA, SQL, SAP).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
