As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:
Identify and pursue new air cargo business opportunities.
Generate leads, build a sales pipeline, and close deals to meet targets.
Promote air logistics solutions to customers (e.g freight forwarders, consolidators, and direct shippers).
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and partners.
Understand customer logistics needs and provide tailored cargo solutions.
Coordinate bookings, capacity allocation, and service support.
Handle customer inquiries, pricing requests, and issue resolution.
Support in setting sales targets & pricing strategies.
Prepare quotations, negotiate rates, and manage spot rate requests with carriers & relevant stakeholders.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders such as operation teams and capacity teams to secure uplift space and improve load factors.
Track and report on sales performance, volumes, and revenue.
Analyze market trends and competitor activity to improve offerings.
Provide regular updates to management and assist in forecasting.
Liaise with multiple key stakeholders, airline partners, ground handlers, etc.
Ensure timely cargo movement and adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
Assist in resolving shipment issues such as delays, offloads, and documentation errors.
