Position Summary

Airline Partnerships is a strategically important pillar within Malaysia Airlines, supporting Commercial and Revenue initiatives through the development, management, and optimization of a global network of airline partners. The function contributes directly to sustainable revenue growth by maximizing partnership value, ensuring commercially competitive agreements, and supporting network connectivity objectives.

As Assistant Manager, Alliance & Partnership, you are responsible for managing a portfolio of interline, SPA, and codeshare partnerships, driving performance improvements, and supporting alliance and partnership initiatives. The role requires strong commercial awareness, analytical capability, and the ability to balance strategic intent with hands-on execution. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and partner airlines to ensure partnerships deliver targeted financial and operational outcomes.

Given the dynamic nature of airline partnerships, the scope of responsibilities may evolve in line with business priorities. The role requires adaptability, sound judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Accountability
  • Manage and administer assigned interline, SPA, and codeshare agreements to ensure commercial effectiveness, compliance, and revenue optimization.
  • Support and participate in the negotiation, implementation, and renewal of partnership agreements, including contracts, annexes, and addendums.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews of assigned partners to assess commercial value, identify issues, and recommend improvement actions.
  • Analyze partnership performance data and prepare structured reports and insights for management review.
  • Monitor financial performance and work with Revenue Accounting to review data accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and minimize revenue leakage.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including Pricing (Interline), Revenue Management, Network Planning, Sales, Finance, and Legal teams, to ensure effective execution of partnership initiatives.
  • Ensure timely updates and accurate maintenance of partnership documentation, data, and records in SharePoint, internal systems, and e-Chamber.
  • Track timelines and deliverables related to partnership activities and follow up with stakeholders as required.
  • Identify and propose process improvements to enhance efficiency, reporting quality, and partnership monitoring.
Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and management reporting.
