A leading Malaysian company is seeking an Assistant Manager in Accounting to manage the full set of accounts, perform month-end closings, and prepare financial statements. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting or Finance, along with 2-3 years of relevant experience and knowledge of MFRS. Proficiency in accounting software such as SQL, AutoCount, or Xero is essential. Those able to start immediately will have an added advantage.
Prepare and manage full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation, closing).
Perform monthly closing and ensure timely submission of management accounts.
Prepare financial statements, analysis, and supporting schedules.
Manage cash flow, payment processing, and monitor daily fund positions.
Review and verify AP/AR transactions, invoices, and supporting documents.
Ensure compliance with MFRS, audit requirements, and internal policies.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and company secretary.
Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedule.
Assist with tax documentation and statutory reporting.
Prepare internal and external reporting when required.
Provide accounting data to management for decision-making.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2–3 years’ experience handling full set of accounts (mandatory).
Strong knowledge of MFRS, basic tax principles, and accounting standards.
Proficient in accounting software (SQL, AutoCount, Xero, or equivalent).
Experience with SME or multi-entity accounting is an advantage.
Able to start immediately or with short notice is an added advantage.
