Job description

This role plays a key part in leading and optimizing our maintenance operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement across all mechanical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee maintenance, repair, and modification activities in collaboration with the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Supervise daily maintenance operations, ensuring all tasks are performed according to checklists, SOPs, and audit requirements.
  • Plan, organize, and manage critical maintenance work, deciding whether tasks are handled in-house or outsourced to contractors/suppliers.
  • Manage spare parts requisition, inventory, and repairs, ensuring smooth and efficient maintenance support.
  • Support machinery expansion, upgrades, and improvement projects related to mechanical systems.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulations such as OSHA, FMA, EQA, and promote Good Environmental Practices (GEP) and proper waste management.
  • Drive Preventive and Predictive Maintenance (PPM) strategies, emphasizing safety and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Supervise and evaluate the workmanship of team members, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvements to achieve departmental KPIs.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments and maintain accurate maintenance documentation and records.
  • Provide leadership and training to the maintenance team, fostering accountability, teamwork, and technical development.
  • Take on additional tasks or departmental transfers as required by business needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with at least 7 years of relevant experience in maintenance management preferably within mechanical or chemical engineering industries.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with hands‑on experience being an added advantage.
  • Solid analytical abilities in mechanical failure analysis, Pareto Chart Analysis, MMTR, and MTBF with proven solution implementation.
  • Able to perform effectively under high‑pressure environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with strong skills in data analysis, reporting, and presentation.
