A Level A academic is expected to make contributions to the teaching effort of the university, particularly at undergraduate and graduate diploma level and to carry out activities to develop her/his scholarly, research and/or professional expertise relevant to the profession or discipline.
The successful candidate will primarily contribute to the delivery of the Bachelor in Actuarial Analytics programme, offered by the School of Business through the Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics. The role involves teaching, coordinating, and administering undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive education units in Actuarial Science and related disciplines.
The academic will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences, supervising student projects where appropriate, and contributing to curriculum development and quality assurance activities. In addition, the appointee will be expected to undertake and sustain scholarly research and professional engagement activities that enhance the School's research profile and support the advancement of the actuarial science, statistics, and mathematics disciplines.
