A healthcare organization in Johor Bahru is seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee daily IT operations and provide technical support. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in IT support, including at least 2 years in a leadership role. Responsibilities include managing servers, networks, and user support, as well as ensuring compliance with IT policies and security measures. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.
Manage and monitor day‑to‑day IT operations including servers, network, hardware, and software systems.
Provide second‑level technical support and troubleshoot system, network, and user issues promptly.
Ensure minimal downtime through proactive maintenance and timely issue resolution.
Oversee helpdesk functions and coordinate user support requests.
Administer servers, firewalls, network switches, and other IT infrastructure components.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with IT security policies.
Perform regular data backups, recovery testing, and system patching.
Maintain and update antivirus, endpoint protection, and cybersecurity measures.
Support and participate in IT‑related projects, system upgrades, and new technology rollouts.
Assist in planning and implementation of hospital or organizational systems.
Work closely with vendors and consultants to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
Prepare technical documentation and system manuals for reference and training.
Ensure compliance with internal IT policies, data protection, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and assess cybersecurity risks, implement mitigation actions, and conduct regular audits.
Support the implementation of IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Maintain IT asset inventory (hardware, software, licenses).
Coordinate with suppliers on procurement, maintenance, and service contracts.
Assist in preparing annual IT budget and monitor expenditures.
Conduct user training and IT orientation for new employees.
Promote good IT practices, cybersecurity awareness, and efficient system usage.
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in IT support or system administration, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
Strong technical knowledge of networks, servers, databases, and cybersecurity.
Hands‑on experience with hardware troubleshooting, software installation, and system configuration.
Experience with hospital information systems (HIS), EMR, or clinic management systems.
Proficient in managing IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships.
