Job summary

A financial services company in Selangor is seeking a skilled finance professional to manage monthly financial closings, budget cycles, and comprehensive financial analyses. The ideal candidate should have 4-5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting, along with a Diploma or Degree in a related field. Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential, as you'll work closely with various stakeholders and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Job description
Responsibilities

The candidate will be involved in monthly financial closing, annual budgeting cycle and provide financial analysis to support the various needs of the company.

Perform monthly closing and the preparation of financial, management, and consolidated reports including balance sheet (AP, AR, general ledger, fixed assets, inventory).

Develop budgets, forecasts, and perform variance & financial analysis on various financial reports.

Handle intercompany transactions and maintain accurate documentation.

Support all administrative & operational aspects of sales activities.

Oversee employee expense claims.

Handle bank-related matters, including but not limited to preparation of payments, cash flow projection/forecast, bank reconciliations.

Liaise with banks on account management and transaction matters including but not limited to creation/deletion of users and amendment of access rights.

Ensure compliance with local tax, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements and coordinate internal and external audits across group entities.

Requirements
  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting, any previous financial analyst exposure would be an added advantage
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or ACCA equivalent.
  • Good command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent in organising and scheduling paperwork.
  • Able to exercise discretion with utmost confidentiality in handling all matters.
  • Good interpersonal skills, and ability to work harmoniously with a range of stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and can work independently during month-end closures
