A logistics company in Malaysia is seeking a financial manager responsible for delivering financial reports, managing compliance, and overseeing budgeting processes. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial statements, uphold internal controls, and collaborate with relevant authorities for effective project implementation. Leadership skills and a solid background in financial management are essential for this role.
Deliver timely and accurate financial reports, including full sets of accounts, billing, reconciliations, and monthly financial statements.
Maintain precise and dependable financial records and support documentation.
Oversee collaboration with auditors, tax agents, and banks for compliance and timely submissions of accounts and tax filings.
Create company forecasts, budgets, and cash flow analyses, alongside computing tax provisions and planning.
Lead accounts receivable, payable, and general ledger functions while ensuring regulatory compliance (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB).
Manage month-end closing processes, including bank reconciliation and balance sheet schedules.
Handle intercompany account reconciliations and balance resolutions.
Drive the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to create achievable financial plans.
Supervise cash flow reporting, budgeting, tax planning, and compliance with risk management initiatives.
Review and monitor payments to contractors, consultants, and suppliers, ensuring adherence to internal control policies.
Prepare and evaluate accounting budgets, project costing, and reconciliations for bank accounts and trade payables.
Provide leadership in preparing and verifying financial documentation for management approvals.
Ensure accurate financial statements and maintain confidentiality of financial data.
Work with relevant authorities for effective implementation of company projects.
