Summary
This position will play a key role in assisting Head of Finance in day-to-day operation tasks. This position will require the ability to organize and manage huge volume of data and information, and always require on timely submission of all management accounts by adherence to company policies, SOPs and deadlines. The ideal candidate should have the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and able to thrive in a fast-paced financial environment with strong internal controls and regulatory compliance requirements. Last but not lease, this candidate shall have the ability to accomplish other job-related assignments required by the superior.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle large volumes of sales transactions and client settlements in compliance with internal financial policies and regulatory requirements.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies promptly.
- Review debtors and creditors reconciliation on monthly basis.
- Prepare financial documents to ensure completeness, accuracy and adherence to accounting principles (MFRS).
- Prepare monthly closing with performance analysis for the company.
- Ensure all journals entries are supported with proper documentation and approvals.
- Ensure the financial affairs are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Responsible for year-end statutory audit & tax filings and ensure timely submission and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with sales and dealing department on daily activities, in order to obtain information in respect of appropriate adjustments for analysis purposes.
- To assist customers’ requirements for any invoicing and billing.
- Ensure proper maintenance of documentation and filing to support all accounting entries.
- Comply to all authorities’ requirements including withholding tax and SST (GST if applicable).
- To execute any other job responsibilities as and when required by the superior.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in and finance, preferably Professional accounting certification (CGMA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the financial services industry (e.g., banking, investment, insurance, or fintech).
- Proven experience managing high transaction volumes in a structured accounting environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (MFRS) and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
