Job summary

DayOne Data Centers Limited is seeking an Assistant Facilities Engineer to support the operation and maintenance of data centre MEP systems in Johor. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/building services engineering and at least 1 year in facilities management, with fresh graduates welcomed.

You will oversee HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, pumps and compressors, perform troubleshooting, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / electrical / building services engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in facilities management / engineering / building services. Fresh graduates are also welcomed to apply.
• Knowledge of data centre mechanical infrastructure, including HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, pumps and compressors.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, operation and maintenance of all MEP systems within the data centres.
• Coordinate with shift teams to ensure 24/7 coverage and effective handovers between shifts.
• Plan and oversee preventative and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring equipment is serviced per standards.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance and upgrade projects with minimal operational impact.
• Ensure all equipment complies with building codes and safety regulations; maintain documentation for audits.
