Job Summary
Assistant Banquet Manager is responsible for assisting in the overall coordination and execution of all banquet functions and events in accordance with hotel standards. The role ensures guest satisfaction, team efficiency, and smooth operation of banquet services from planning to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management
- Assist the Banquet Manager in supervising all banquet events, meetings, and functions.
- timely setup, service, and breakdown of all banquet functions according to event orders.
- Coordinate with other departments (Kitchen, Sales, Housekeeping, Engineering) to ensure seamless event execution.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards of all banquet venues and equipment.
- Guest Service & Quality
- Provide professional, efficient, and courteous service to all guests.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and effectively.
- Ensure consistent high-quality service that meets or exceeds guest expectations.
- Team Leadership & Training
- Supervise, train, and motivate banquet team members to deliver excellent service.
- Monitor staff grooming, attendance, and performance.
- Support manpower planning and duty roster preparation for all banquet functions.
- Financial & Inventory Control
- Assist in monitoring banquet costs and controlling expenses.
- Ensure proper handling of inventory, linen, glassware, and equipment.
- Participate in monthly inventory and equipment maintenance checks.
- Administration & Reporting
- Assist in reviewing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensuring details are clearly communicated to the team.
- Maintain accurate records of events, feedback, and revenue reports.
- Support the Banquet Manager in preparing departmental reports and budget forecasts.
