Assistant Architect cum authorities liaison officer

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Architect cum authorities liaison officer to join our talented team at R & D ARCHITECT STUDIO SDN. BHD. in our Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur office. In this full‑time position, you will be responsible for producing detailed architectural drawings and plans to support the design and construction of various building projects.

What you’ll be doing

• Creating detailed 2D and 3D architectural drawings, plans, and schematics using CAD software
• Interpreting design briefs and translating them into technical drawings
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure drawings meet project requirements
• Updating and revising drawings based on client feedback and design changes
• Maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in all technical drawings
• Ensuring compliance with relevant building regulations and industry standards

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Architectural Draughtsman or similar technical drawing role
• Proficiency in using CAD software such as AutoCAD, or SketchUp
• Excellent technical drawing and drafting skills with an eye for detail
• Strong understanding of building materials, construction methods, and architectural principles
• Ability to read and interpret design briefs, blueprints, and specifications
• Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the design team
