Job summary

Hong Leong Bank Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a sales-oriented professional to promote ASB financing and cross-sell personal loans and credit cards. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Management or a related field.
• Certifications: PCE (Life/General), CEILLI, and FIMM/IPPC as applicable to license requirements.

Responsibilities

• Promote ASB financing to new and existing customers.
• Cross-sell personal loans and credit cards to boost product holding per customer.
• Participate in roadshows, corporate marketing visits, and telemarketing campaigns to generate leads and close sales.
• Assist customers with filling out forms and gathering income documents.
• Explain product features, interest rates and repayment terms clearly.
• Ensure all applications follow KYC/AML rules and bank policies.
• Grow Islamic products through relationship management and acquisition of new-to-bank clients.
• Ensure transactions comply with PDPA, AMLCFT and Shariah Governance.

Functional (job responsibilities)

• Drive Sales Acquisition: Promote Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) Financing as the core product to both new and existing customers.
• Maximize Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to cross-sell personal loans and credit cards to boost product holding per customer.
• Execute Multi-Channel Marketing: Participate actively in roadshows, corporate marketing visits, and telemarketing campaigns to generate leads and close sales.
• Application Processing: Assist customers with filling out forms and gathering necessary income documents.
• Customer Service: Explain product features, interest rates, and repayment terms clearly so clients know what they are signing.
• Compliance: Ensure all applications follow bank and government rules like Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AMLA) policies.
• Portfolio Growth: Focus on growing the Islamic products through effective relationship management and acquisition of new-to-bank clients.
• Compliance & Risk: Ensure all transactions and client interactions strictly adhere to bank policies, internal SOPs, and industry regulations (e.g., PDPA, AMLCFT, and Shariah Governance).

Organizational (organizational responsibilities)

• Building and maintaining close relationships with relevant stakeholders and supporting internal functions.
• Adhere to department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in complying with audit, compliance, and regulatory guidelines.
• Perform other responsibilities or projects assigned under the Group or Bank’s initiatives.

Education/Qualification

• Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Finance, Banking, Business Management, or a relevant field.
• Required certifications: PCE (Life/General), CEILLI, and FIMM/IPPC (Unit Trust/Banca) as applicable to the license requirements.

Experience

• Min. 2 years of sales experience in financial services.
