Responsibilities
- Lead and guide the overall visual direction of creative projects.
- Develop creative concepts that align with the client’s brand, marketing strategy, and goals.
- Set the visual tone and style for campaigns, ensuring consistency across all platforms and mediums.
- Produce art layouts by developing art concepts and providing direction to staff.
- Work closely with other creative professionals, including designers and printing designers, to produce cohesive designs.
- Train, assign, schedule, and coach all designers.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior or senior designers, assisting them in developing their skills and improving the quality of their work.
- Coordinate the activities of the design team ensuring deadlines are met.
- Lead brainstorming sessions with creative teams to develop design solutions.
Concept Development
- Develop original design concepts and visual solutions from initial brainstorming sessions to final execution.
- Present and explain concepts to clients or stakeholders, ensuring alignment with brand vision and objectives.
- Prepare mood boards, style guides, and storyboards for client and team approval.
Brand Consistency
- Ensure all designs reflect the brand identity and adhere to brand guidelines.
- Maintain visual consistency across all creative assets, whether digital, print, or other media.
- Work with Marketing and Sales teams to align visual content with marketing campaigns and strategies.
Project Management
- Manage the design process from concept to delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Oversee timelines and prioritize tasks, balancing multiple projects at once.
- Collaborate with production team and related departments to coordinate the execution of creative deliverables.
Design Execution
- Oversee the production of high-quality design materials, such as advertisements, websites, social media content, packaging, brochures, and more.
- Ensure that all design elements meet industry standards and best practices.
Client and Stakeholder Interaction
- Meet with clients or stakeholders to understand their goals, preferences, and expectations for design projects.
- Present design concepts and make revisions based on client feedback.
- Act as a liaison between the creative team and the client to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
Quality Control
- Review final designs and provide feedback to ensure quality, consistency, and attention to detail.
- Oversee the refinement and finalization of creative assets before they are delivered or printed.
- Troubleshoot any design issues and make adjustments to ensure the final product meets expectations.
Update on Design Trends
- Continuously monitor emerging trends in design, technology, and culture to keep creative outputs innovative and relevant.
- Experiment with AI, PSP, SketchUp, new software, tools, techniques, and approaches to push the boundaries of creativity.
Collaboration with Other Departments
- Work alongside marketing, product development, and digital teams to ensure that the creative work aligns with overall marketing goals.
- Support content creation teams by providing visual assets that complement written or video content.
