As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of sales professionals to drive business growth and achieve sales targets within the designated region. This role will involve developing strong customer relationships and implementing effective sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets and identify opportunities for business development.
Deliver KPI result and monitor sales achievements / performance.
Develop and execute effective sales strategies to increase market share and brand visibility.
Manage the account receivable, control over market return and ensure good product presence in the market.
Manage and motivate a team of sales to meet and exceed sales targets.
Lead and manage indirect team and oversee operations in the branches sales, distribution, product visibility.
Ensure all claims submission by distributor on time (business partner).
Promote new development products and widen market penetration.
Work with marketing team for POSM requisition, align product penetration objective and have clear communication with the team.
Submit inventory/stock forecast and ensure accuracy and on time submission.
Conduct market audit, find out competitor’s activities and check product presence.
Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and optimize sales performance.
Apply A&P budget to run marketing campaign & marketing activities.
Collaborate closely with business partners through monthly sales reviews to drive alignment, identify growth opportunities, and improve performance.
Plan with buyer of particular supermarket account for securing promotion calendar ahead.
Perform any ad‑hoc duties as assigned by the superior from time to time.
Minimum 8 years of experience in a sales management role, preferably in the FMCG industry.
Good leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop sales team.
Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills to foster successful customer relationships.
Creative to identify alternative approaches and solutions.
Familiarity with sales performance tracking and reporting.
Familiarity with FMCG distribution channels and promotional techniques.
Travelling is required.
Diploma / Degree holder in Business Administration / Marketing / Food Science or any other fields.
