Job Summary

Madam Kwans Restaurant is a thriving family‑owned business that has been serving up authentic Malaysian cuisine for almost 30 years. As we continue to expand our presence across Malaysia, we are looking for an experienced and dynamic Area Manager to oversee operations in the South Region, covering the state of Johor Bahru. In this role, you will play a key part in driving the company’s growth and ensuring the effective execution of strategic initiatives within this important region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the performance of multiple Madam Kwan’s outlets, including the opening of new restaurants within the assigned area, to ensure consistent delivery of excellent customer service and operational standards.
  • Drive and achieve restaurant team KPIs in areas such as people development, customer satisfaction, sales performance, and profit and loss targets.
  • Develop and execute effective strategies to increase sales, enhance profitability, and improve the overall customer experience at the regional level, while progressively implementing the company’s business development initiatives within the area.
  • Provide strong leadership and continuous support to store managers, guiding them in achieving their objectives and addressing matters related to staffing, inventory control, cash handling, ongoing training, and other operational challenges.
  • Proficient in budgeting, financial management, and cost control, including profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities.
  • Solid understanding of key performance indicators and the ability to interpret data to support informed business decisions.
  • Work closely with regional and corporate teams to ensure operational alignment with the company’s overall strategic goals.
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies across the region.
  • Identify, develop, and retain high‑potential talent by providing mentorship and training, fostering a motivated workforce and promoting internal career progression.
  • Represent Madam Kwan’s within the local community by building strong relationships with key stakeholders and actively promoting the brand.
