A leading staffing service provider in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee outlet sales, ensure operational compliance, and manage staff training. The ideal candidate has a diploma or degree in food services or business management, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role. Strong leadership and the ability to communicate fluently in Bahasa Malaysia and English are essential. Frequent travel to assigned outlets is required.

Job description
Responsibilities
  1. Monitor and drive outlet sales to meet company targets, analyse performance reports, and implement strategies to close gaps, improve profitability, and support marketing campaigns and new product launches.
  2. Oversee all operational aspects including store operation, staff scheduling, staff individual target, store promotion targets, product variances and waste, and product issues while ensuring full compliance with J.CO SOPs, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements through regular audits and inspections.
  3. Manage labour and operational expenses to remain within budget, enforce cost reduction measures, and prepare monthly reports with recommendations for continuous improvement.
  4. Engage closely with Store Managers to monitor daily activities, scheduling, and customer service, while driving KPIs, resolving staff issues, and promoting a high-performance and customer-focused culture.
  5. Assist Training Dept for onboarding and continuous training for new and existing staff, coach Store Managers through regular one-on-one meetings, and support their career growth and operational readiness.
  6. Identify operational challenges affecting sales or service and propose effective, timely solutions to ensure smooth delivery, production, and customer experience.
  7. Support new store openings by handling operation and manpower planning, recruitment, inventory setup, and inter-department coordination to ensure successful and timely launches.
Requirements
  • Min Diploma,Degree in Food services, pastries, bakeries, culinary and hotel & tourism, Business Management/Study converse in B. Malaysia, English and additional languages.
  • Proven 5 years’ experience as Area manager, Store manager, or similar managerial role
  • Mature personality, with strong leadership and decision making factors.
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation metrics and principles.
  • Willing to travel frequently to assigned outlets and flexible with working hours; must have own transportation.
