The Area Manager has operational and financial responsibility for the assigned territory to achieve the set sales and financial objectives through successful planning and implementation of business plans. He/She manages full spectrum of retail operations and implement best practices across the level. This role is a dedicated resource to bring a sharp focus on all operational capabilities, programs, processes, and procedures.
Job Descriptions
- The Area Manager key function is to achieve overall goals and objective of the assigned stores/territory/region, specifically the set sales and financial objectives through successful planning and implementation of business plans.
- Develop & implement retail KPIs at the regional and store level:Ensures that the retail operations comply to all policies and procedures relating to operations, security, health and safety; influences any changes necessary to meet statutory requirements, ensuring minimum risk to staff members and the business.
- Managing Performance & Development:Proactively manages and reviews the performance and progress of retail stores/regions and subordinates, sets objectives and targets; develop individual training plans for the team, conduct Performance-Improvement-Plan (PIP) for underperformed subordinates.
- Excellent Shopping Experience:Lead, coach and inspire our Retail team members to deliver the best shopping experience to our consumers.
- Product Knowledge:Responsible for Retail team member’s level of Product Knowledge and the ability to communicate it to customers in keeping with SK standards.
- Changes & Improvement:Lead continuous improvement efforts to drive consistent operational performance nationwide.
- Leadership Skills:Leadership requires managing, motivating, incentivizing and empowering sales team

- People Management:Works with the HR to ensure people management issues are satisfactorily resolved and relevant HR policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Recruitment, Training & Development:Recruits, trains and develops talents within the department.
- Visual Merchandising:Work with VMD team to develop & implement visual merchandising plan according to SK product's moodboard to increase store traffic and campaign reach.
- Project Management:Assist for the successful initiation, planning, design execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project. He/ she will responsible on operations aspect such as the pre-opening planning & execution, setting up the store and ensure the success of the store opening project.
- Stock Management:Managing stock replenishment and stock movement for retail stores through inter-store transfers and/or replenishment from HQ to ensure stock level at an expected healthy level.
- Conduct pereodic stock count & stocktake to ensure stock are tally.
- Strategic Thinking:Produce & analyse the business reports regularly, studying competitors, understand the challenges to meet business KPI, create and implement sales tactical campaigns to meet the sales and financial objectives.
- Relationship & Networking:Maintain effective working relationship with all landlords, agents, suppliers, vendors, contractors, principals and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
- Budgets:To assist Head of Retail to control & monitor the retail operating plans and budget.
- Digital Marketing:To plan, implement & manage digital marketing segment at the assigned stores/territory/region to achieve the sales and financial objectives.
- Reports:Produce, maintain and improve relevant operations reports to maintain excellent retail operations level at all times.
- Perform other job tasks as assigned by superiors from time to time.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year or more of multi-store management experience required in a focused, customer service-oriented retail environment and results-driven track record.
- Preferably 2-3 years of working experience as store manager or managerial positions in Retail industry.
- Required Skill(s):Google Sheet, Microsoft Office, with a favorable understanding of Retail POS (Point of Sale) system.
- Computer literate with strong skills in Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, Words, Powerpoint, etc.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills.
- Diligent, an eye for details, resourceful, highly adaptable and able to work independently.
- Strategic mindset and excellent executor.
- Willing to travel/outstation or relocated nationwide
