Job summary

A leading construction firm in Johor, Malaysia, is seeking an Architectural Coordinator to ensure the design intent is met throughout all project stages. The ideal candidate should have a degree in architecture and 3-5 years of experience in design and construction, preferably in large-scale commercial projects. Strong skills in AutoCAD and Revit are essential. This position includes coordinating with internal teams and external consultants to resolve technical issues and manage architectural drawings effectively.

Job description

Coordinate architectural design works between consultants clients and internal project teams to ensure design intent is met throughout all project stages.

Review and manage architectural drawings and specifications to ensure alignment with project requirements regulations and design concepts.

Work closely with the design team to resolve technical issues site constraints and discrepancies during the design and construction stages.

Assist in tracking design progress and ensure timely submission of drawings/documents as per project schedule.

Prepare and submit documents for authority approval, and follow up to ensure timely clearances.

Participate in design workshops and internal reviews to improve constructability and cost efficiency.

Ensure coordination with M&E C&S, and ID teams to avoid design clashes and ensure smooth integration of architectural elements.

Prepare and maintain proper documentation logs and records related to architectural work and design changes.

Be hands‑on in managing design revisions updates and communicating changes effectively to the site team and consultants.

Requirement:

Degree Architecture or related field.

3–5 years of working experience in both design and construction environments preferably within design and build projects.

Strong understanding of architectural detailing building codes and construction processes.

Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.

Good communication and coordination skills able to work with consultants subcontractors and internal teams.

Experience in large‑scale commercial projects is an advantage.
