Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a Senior Accounts Receivable Leader to oversee daily AR operations within the Financial Shared Services Centre in Shah Alam. You will ensure accurate transactions, timely collections, compliance, and smooth team performance.

Lead a 4- to 5-member AR team, manage end-to-end AR activities including billing and collections, monitor cash flow and DSO, and coordinate month-end closing and reporting. Knowledge of BlackLine and Excel is beneficial; ACCA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business.
• ACCA is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years' AR leadership experience.
• Minimum 2 years in Shared Services/FSSC.
• Strong collections, billing and AR month-end closing experience.
• Knowledge of local accounting standards and some US GAAP exposure.
• Strong Microsoft Office and Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with BlackLine, RPA or PowerApps is an advantage.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the AR team of 4-5 members with coaching and performance management.
• Oversee end-to-end AR activities: billing, customer accounts, collections.
• Monitor cash collections, overdue accounts and DSO performance.
• Manage month-end closing and AR reporting accurately and on time.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely completion (BlackLine).
• Handle billing disputes and escalated customer queries.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve AR issues.
• Ensure compliance with policies, local standards, GST/VAT and AR policies.
• Collaborate with Shared Services teams for smooth operations.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation (RPA, PowerApps, Excel).
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the FSSC Site Leader.
