Job summary

Jora Malaysia in Shah Alam is seeking an Application Engineer to work on complex rotating equipment solutions and engage with regional customers on technical projects and upgrades.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, knowledge of mechanical sealing technologies and API plans, with 3+ years experience in rotating equipment. Travel to client sites is expected; SAP experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• Knowledge of mechanical sealing technologies and API plans.
• Understanding of mechanical seal selection for industrial applications.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with rotating equipment preferred.
• Good communication and presentation skills for customer engagement.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites for technical assessments.

Responsibilities

• Participate in technical discussions with customers on projects, engineered applications, competitor conversions, retrofits, and system upgrades.
• Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer training sessions.
• Analyze application data and technical requirements to recommend suitable mechanical seals and sealing systems.
• Review and process customer inquiries and orders while ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
• Support sales activities by providing technical expertise and product application guidance.
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and supporting documentation.
• Review purchase orders, pump and seal datasheets, and technical requirements for project execution.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Service, and Design teams to ensure timely project completion.
• Provide troubleshooting support for mechanical seals and associated systems when advanced technical assistance is required.
• Assist with customer site visits for data collection, technical assessments, and problem resolution.
• Develop and maintain installed-base records, case studies, success stories, and technical presentations.
• Support the creation and updating of internal technical documentation and application knowledge resources.
