Job Title: Application Engineer – Data Center Infrastructure
Location: Balakong, Selangor
Department: LDCS
Type: Full-Time

Working Hours

Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Salary Package

• Base Salary: RM 5,000 – RM 8,000 (including allowances)
• Allowances:
  • RM 700 (within Klang Valley)
  • RM 50 (Toll)
• Petrol Card: Provided upon confirmation (Pay & claim before confirmation)

Experience & Qualification

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering fields.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data center or electrical infrastructure design, pre‑sales, or technical solution roles.
• Prefer Chinese or Indian male candidates fluent in Mandarin (due to frequent site and client engagement).
• Must have own transport and be based in Balakong.
• Must be able to travel outstation for client meetings, site visits, and project discussions.
• Must be able to join immediately.

Preferred Skills & Qualities

• Strong technical knowledge in UPS systems, Busway, PDUs, Racks, Containment Systems, and Cable Management.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, or similar design tools.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
• Independent, resourceful, and capable of managing multiple projects.

Role Summary

The Application Engineer supports the sales and project teams by developing tailored technical solutions for customers. The role involves preparing technical proposals, ensuring system compatibility, and delivering effective solutions for data center infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs and propose suitable Data Center infrastructure solutions.
• Provide detailed technical support and product recommendations during the pre‑sales process.
• Prepare technical documentation, system architecture diagrams, BOQs (Bills of Quantity), and proposals.
• Customize technical solutions involving UPS, PDU, Busway, Racks, Containment Systems, and Cable Management.
• Work closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure system integration and compatibility.
• Conduct client presentations, product demonstrations, and technical workshops.
• Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies related to Data Center infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
• 3+ years of relevant experience in data center infrastructure or electrical design.
• Strong understanding of power systems, cooling concepts, containment, and cable management.
• Skilled in technical proposal preparation, solution customization, and customer engagement.
• Excellent teamwork, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities.
