A leading cruise line is looking for a software developer to lead projects and provide application support. The role involves conducting system testing, troubleshooting, and collaborating with vendors. Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science/IT and have at least 3 years of experience, ideally in the hospitality or cruise industry. Strong analytical skills and a customer-oriented mindset are essential for success in this position. Willingness to travel and support shipboard systems is required.
Perform research, analysis, design, test and support of new software programs.
Provide leadership and guidance to junior associates & developers in systems development, testing and maintenance.
Provide application support to shore-based application systems maintaining defined Service Level.
Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and user acceptance testing (UAT) during implementation.
Collaborate with vendors for technical troubleshooting, updates, and system improvements.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, workflows, and user guides, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuity of support.
Participate in project activities based on assigned project role.
Adhere to defined IT standards, policies, and procedures while continuously updating technical knowledge and skills through training and exploration of new technologies.
Deliver Level 2/3 support for applications, resolving issues promptly and escalating critical cases when necessary, following defined procedures.
Provide timely updates on project progress, challenges, and implementation status to sponsors and leads.
Flexibility to occasionally work extended hours during critical project implementations or urgent support needs.
Perform other task that may be assigned from time to time.
To carry out safety and security duties from time to time and be assigned as member of the Crisis Management Team, as and when needed.
Diploma / Advanced Diploma, Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.
At least 3 years of work experience, preferably in the Hospitality, Casino or Cruise Ship industry.
Willing to travel and support shipboard systems as needed.
Good knowledge of Software Development Methodology; and experience in application project development will be an added advantage.
Strong analytical skill in process definition; and able to lead and collaborate with team members.
Customer and results oriented.
Strong sense of responsibility and accountability, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and deliverables.
