Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Klang City is seeking a Sales Engineer to provide technical support and prepare proposals that meet customer needs. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Overview

This position reports to a sales manager in the industries segment. The role involves preparing preliminary solutions and proposals that address customer needs during the early sales phase. The candidate should have a basic understanding of material handling or industrial automation fundamentals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and expertise to customers.
  • Understand and review customer requirements – technical clarification, system layout, design concept, technical calculation, and site check.
  • Review specification documents, detailed drawings, or controls from customers.
  • Evaluate and select potential material handling equipment, electrical and control components.
  • Develop technical write‑up, quotation, layout specification, conveyor specification, and customer product information.
  • Finalize system requirement, layout, product flowing orientation, conveyor specification.
  • Generate BOM for parts advance ordering.
  • Conduct kick‑off meeting to all related project teams.
Requirements
  • Degree holder in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years working experience preferably in project related to industrial. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Independent and able to work under pressure and tight schedules.
  • Highly motivated and target driven.
  • Good analytical, communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
  • A team player with strong customer focused.
  • Working experience in automated material handling system is an added advantage.
  • Fluent in English both in oral and writing.
