Job summary

Hunters International Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly autonomous payroll professional to serve as Country Champion for a cluster of 3–5 countries. You will oversee country-level deliverables, ensure regulatory compliance, and guide a small payroll processing team.

The role also drives payroll transformation, digitalisation and automation initiatives to scale efficiency and enhance employee experience. You will operate from Petaling Jaya with a flexible hybrid work model, handling end-to-end payroll

Qualifications

• Degree in HR, Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 8+ years hands-on payroll experience with multi-country operations.
• Experience with payroll transformation, automation or digitalisation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while guiding others.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct Country Processing & Operations for a cluster of 3 to 5 countries.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and company requirements.
• Act as Country SME & advisory for HR, Finance, vendors, and agencies.
• Lead payroll transformation, automation, and process enhancements.
• Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members.
• Maintain and improve payroll policies, SOPs and control checklists.
