Job summary

Straumann Group Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Indirect Procurement Category Manager for APAC. You will develop and execute sourcing strategies across indirect categories such as IT, Marketing, and Facilities, ensuring cost efficiency and supplier performance.

The role requires 10+ years in sourcing/procurement, strong stakeholder management, and proficiency in MS Office and analytical tools. Travel ~10% and collaboration with global teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of supplier qualification systems and vendor performance management.
• Proven project management and problem-solving skills.
• Business proficiency in English (spoken and written).
• Additional languages (Thai/Korean/Japanese/Chinese) are advantageous.
• Experience with MS Office, Power BI, Excel and PowerPoint; database management.
• Familiarity with SAP, GEP-Smart and e-Procurement tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proactive and solution-oriented with a can-do mindset.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10%.

Responsibilities

• Identify indirect sourcing opportunities and develop sourcing strategies.
• Align global and regional procurement policies with regional execution.
• Standardize and optimize procurement processes and workflows.
• Establish and enhance supplier qualification procedures.
• Manage supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure KPI achievement such as cost-saving, compliance, and efficiency.
• Lead and support sourcing and procurement-related projects.
• Support day-to-day procurement operations and tactical requests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen supplier relationships.
• Support APAC and global procurement initiatives as required.
