Job summary

TGS International Group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Resource Manager to oversee a regional network of cabling subcontractors and delivery partners for APAC data centre projects. You will blend resource planning with supplier management and commercial negotiation to ensure on-time delivery.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will manage capacity across APAC, onboard new suppliers, and drive governance, compliance and cost optimisation while collaborating with Operations, Project Delivery, Procurement,

Qualifications

• Proven experience in engineering, structured cabling, data centre, telecommunications or technical services.
• Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, contractors or technical delivery partners.
• Strong understanding of structured cabling and/or data centre engineering environments.
• Experience managing technical resources across multiple locations or countries.
• Supplier sourcing, onboarding and relationship management experience.
• Commercial negotiation experience covering supplier rates and contracts.
• Strong resource planning and forecasting skills.Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management
• Comfortable working across different cultures and business environments within APAC.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the APAC region.
• Right to work in Malaysia without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Maintain visibility of subcontractor capacity across the APAC region.
• Forecast engineering resource requirements against project pipelines and demand.
• Identify shortages and build contingency ahead of impact.
• Grow and maintain a pool of cabling engineers and subcontractors.
• Onboard new suppliers where coverage or capability gaps exist.
• Evaluate subcontractors on technical competence, availability, location, quality and cost.
• Run supplier meetings, performance reviews and capability assessments.
• Negotiate supplier rates, labour costs and terms with Procurement and Commercial.
• Maintain visibility of agreed subcontractor rates and seek cost optimisation.
• Establish onboarding, compliance, documentation and governance processes.
• Coordinate subcontractor mobilisation across APAC locations against project schedules.
• Prioritise project requirements and escalate delivery constraints.
• Keep Operations, Delivery, Sales and Commercial teams updated on capacity and risk.
