We are currently seeking a Ansible Automation Engineer to join our team in Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur (MY-14), Malaysia (MY).
Ansible Automation Engineer
The Ansible Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise‑grade automation solutions using Ansible, Ansible Tower/AWX, and related DevOps tooling. This role requires strong hands‑on experience with configuration management, infrastructure automation, CI/CD integration, and multi‑environment orchestration across on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid platforms. The engineer will collaborate closely with Cloud, Security, and App‑Dev teams to deliver scalable, secure, and repeatable automation frameworks aligned with organizational standards.
Develop, maintain, and optimize Ansible playbooks, roles, collections, and inventories.
Implement automation for OS hardening, patching, provisioning, and application deployment.
Manage Ansible Tower/AWX for RBAC, workflows, job templates, and credential management.
Standardize automation patterns across environments (Dev, UAT, Prod).
Automate provisioning across Linux/Windows servers, VMware, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, OCI, Azure).
Integrate Ansible with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).
Build reusable automation modules and enforce coding standards.
Work with Cloud, Security, and App‑Dev teams to align automation with architecture and compliance requirements.
Document automation frameworks, SOPs, and incident RCA reports.
Implement governance for secrets, credentials, and secure automation execution.
Troubleshoot automation failures, performance bottlenecks, and idempotency issues.
Optimize playbooks for speed, reliability, and maintainability.
Implement logging, auditing, and reporting for automation workflows.
Expert‑level proficiency in Ansible, YAML, Jinja2 templating, and Ansible Collections.
Strong experience with Ansible Tower/AWX (RBAC, workflows, job templates, credentials).
Deep understanding of idempotency, handlers, variables, vault, and dynamic inventories.
Strong Python and Bash scripting for automation and integrations.
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI).
Familiarity with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud automation.
Strong Linux administration skills (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, firewalls, load balancers).
Experience automating network devices (Cisco, F5, Palo Alto) is a plus.
Experience with Ansible Vault, secrets management, and secure credential handling.
Knowledge of OS hardening, CIS benchmarks, and compliance automation.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and cross‑team collaboration.
Ability to translate automation requirements into technical solutions.
High adaptability and eagerness to stay current with evolving automation technologies.

Red Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation
Red Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) (baseline)
HashiCorp Terraform Associate (common pairing)
Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS)
Strong ownership, accountability, and teamwork mindset.
Ability to lead small automation initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
Proactive in improving processes and driving automation adoption.
