Job summary

Grab in Malaysia is seeking an Android Engineer to design and implement features in our Android app, with a focus on safety features and performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across product, design, mobile and backend to create high-impact, scalable solutions.

You will be onsite, report to the Engineering Manager, and contribute to code reviews, CI/CD processes, and releases that reach millions of users across Southeast Asia.

Qualifications

2+ years of native Android development experience (Kotlin).
Knowledge of architectural patterns, caching and data storage.
Hands-on experience with unit and UI testing frameworks.
Strong ownership and collaborative team attitude (YPIMP).
Familiarity with UI/UX design for intuitive interfaces.

Responsibilities

Contribute to Android features in the Grab app and partner platforms.
Collaborate with Product, Design, Mobile and Backend teams.
Build reusable Android components for the Grab platform.
Monitor app performance and optimize code and UX.
Participate in code reviews and CI/CD processes.
