Job summary

Brenntag is seeking an Analyst for General Ledger and Reporting to operate onsite in Bandar Sunway, Malaysia. You will handle GL accounting, reconciliations and support monthly and annual closings, as well as prepare reports and analytics.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of relevant experience, a degree in Commerce/Finance/Accounting, and proficiency in Excel; knowledge of SAP is advantageous. English fluency is required with Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese as a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong team player.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience using SAP (Asset Module and GL Module) is a plus.
• Good verbal and written communication in English.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for GL accounting, reconciliation and support of monthly/annual closing, or reporting.
• Prepare regular and ad hoc analytics and reports.
• Adhere to agreed service levels, company policies and procedures.
• Identify repetitive issues or risks and propose improvements.
• Resolve operational issues and escalate to supervisor where necessary.
