Job summary

Penguin Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Test Technician to support manufacturing operations, ensuring tester performance and reliability. You will handle tester setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, software installation, and product testing to minimize downtime and meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Electronic/Electrical/Mechatronics/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• 1–3 years in manufacturing, electronics testing, semiconductor operations, or automated test equipment maintenance preferred.
• Experience in semiconductor or high-volume electronics manufacturing is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and networking is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to tester breakdowns and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair tester hardware and software.
• Perform tester setup, calibration, qualification, and verification prior to production release.
• Support Memory NPI activities to ensure successful product qualification and readiness.
• Conduct first-level troubleshooting and escalate complex problems to engineering as needed.
• Maintain tester readiness through spare parts inventory and critical components.
• Participate in equipment enhancement and continuous improvement projects to boost reliability and productivity.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, downtime reports, and shift handover documentation.
• Assist engineers in implementing process improvements and engineering change activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
