Job summary

Aero Service Technologies Malaysia is seeking skilled technicians to join our Port Klang workshop, performing abrasive blasting, tack welding, and brazing on aerospace components. You will follow work instructions, set up equipment, and ensure surface finish quality in a safety-conscious environment.

You will inspect workmanship, maintain PPE and tools, and document production records while adhering to SDS and company policies. This role is on-site in Port Klang with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent required.
• Vocational/technical training is an advantage.
• Experience in a workshop or component repair environment preferred.
• Basic understanding of tools and equipment used in cleaning, blending, and welding.
• Ability to follow instructions and read work orders.
• Physically able to perform manual labor.

Responsibilities

• Perform abrasive blasting using Nickle oxide on metal components according to work instructions.
• Set up blasting equipment and adjust pressure and media flow to achieve required surface profile.
• Perform tack welding to temporarily hold components for brazing process.
• Operate spot welding equipment and manage consumables (electrodes, copper).
• Mix braze material and apply paste uniformly across surfaces.
• Conduct visual inspection on seals and weld quality to meet specifications.
• Maintain production records, checklists, and log sheets as required.
• Care for tools and PPE, and ensure a clean work area.
