Job summary

A leading technology company in Malaysia is looking for a Marketing Specialist to develop and manage advertising campaigns across various channels. Responsibilities include creating marketing materials, maintaining product listings on e-commerce platforms, conducting market research, and collaborating with sales teams. The ideal candidate has a diploma in Business or Marketing, with at least 2 years of experience in advertising, strong content creation abilities, and familiarity with online marketing tools. Basic design skills are a plus.

Job description

Develop, plan and execute advertising and promotional activities/campaigns across both online and offline channels.

Create and manage marketing materials such as product sales kits, flyers, brochures, social media posts, and website updates.

Support day-to-day coordination with external vendors (designers, printers, agencies) for promotional materials.

Assist in maintaining product listings on e-commerce platforms, including product descriptions, pricing updates, images, and stock information.

Monitor customer enquiries, reviews, and messages, and resolve or elevate issues as needed.

Perform regular checks on product visibility, promotions, and platform campaigns.

Collaborate with sales coordinators on e-commerce and marketing related content.

Content Creation & Copywriting
  • Plan, script, and produce content such as product highlights, how‑to videos, behind‑the‑scenes clips, short reels, and social media stories.
  • Participate in photo and video shoots, including staging products, and capturing footage using a smartphone or camera.
  • Edit and enhance photos and videos using tools/software such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or basic Adobe Suite applications.
  • Write copy for social media posts, short product descriptions, and captions.
  • Assist in managing the company’s content calendar, including planning posting times and thematic content clusters.
  • Organize and maintain a content library containing raw footage, edited videos, product images, templates, and brand materials.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to brainstorm new content themes, storytelling angles, and social media engagement ideas.
  • Assist in preparing event visuals, product samples, and booth setup for exhibitions, events, and customer visits.
Market Research & Reporting
  • Conduct competitor research, price comparisons, and customer feedback summaries.
  • Research trending content formats, popular social media trends, competitor content, and customer engagement ideas.
  • Support monthly reporting on marketing activities, campaign performance, and A&P expenses.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Mass Communication, or related field.
