Job summary

A biotechnology company in Kuantan is seeking an administrative assistant to help with payroll processing, recruitment activities, and managing office supplies. The ideal candidate should have a diploma or higher qualification, be proficient in Microsoft Office, and possess strong communication skills. Experience in administrative roles is a plus, with preference for candidates who can speak Mandarin. This role offers a dynamic work environment.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Assist in monthly payroll processing for internal staff and payroll verification of outsourced workers.
  • Assist in the company's recruitment activity.
  • Manage office supplies and corporate gifts inventories.
  • Organise, prepare and maintain company documents, reports, and correspondence.
  • Manage and coordinate the daily operations of staff canteen and dormitory.
  • Support meeting arrangements, reception duties, and other office events.
  • Coordinate with company drivers to manage and monitor company vehicles' usage and maintenance, including fuel card usage, annual insurance and road tax renewal, regular service and inspection.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
Requirements
  • Diploma or higher qualification in any field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Responsible, organised, able to work independently and as a team.
  • Prior experience in administrative or clerical roles will be an added advantage.
  • Candidates with Mandarin language skills will be a big bonus.
