Job Summary

Acts under direct instruction, performing actuarial duties in order to provide highly accurate data and analyses for use by more senior actuaries in relation to reserving, reporting, quantitative risk management or the pricing of business.

Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities
  • Provide basic actuarial services under direct instruction of a more experienced actuary.
  • Perform statistical analyses, model and analyze data and develop models and programs for model building and analyses; interpret results of models and analyses.
  • Compile and categorize data and document and verify factors and assumptions used in computations to ensure robust output.
  • Assist in the development of risk based capital models as well as parameterization and allocation activities to support actuarial services.
  • Participate in the evaluation and review of new and proposed processes and systems.
  • Demonstrate increasing knowledge of actuarial disciplines and procedures to build value adding, relevant technical knowledge.
  • Work with actuarial colleagues to develop understanding of company operations, business objectives and actuarial methodologies.
  • Actively pursue local actuarial qualification.
Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.

Preferred:

  • Strong command of statistical and financial modelling.
  • Must be able to present complex actuarial findings to stakeholders.
