Job summary

Manulife Financial Malaysia is seeking an actuarial professional to support modelling, product development and capital management initiatives. You will partner with business stakeholders and senior management to provide insights that influence strategy and performance.

Responsibilities include reviewing modelling work, communicating results to leadership, and helping train junior staff in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, and Mathematics.
• Preferably 1-2 years relevant experience.
• Demonstrate ability to apply actuarial theories to develop practical solutions.
• Comfortable to work independently with minimal guidance and collaborate across locations.

Responsibilities

• Review actuarial modelling work for new product implementations and capital regime changes.
• Explain results to business units and senior management; communicate and answer questions.
• Assist in training and development of junior staff including first reviewer of work quality control.
• Maintain and improve documentation of tasks for general reference.
• Initiate process improvements and streamline tasks wherever possible.
• Continue to refine analytical skills and develop business knowledge.
