Company Background:

Our client company, with its headquarters in Japan, is set to establish a new manufacturing facility at Pasir Gudang, Malaysia. This plant will focus on electromechanical assembly and advanced material fabrication for semiconductor equipment, designed to meet customer needs while also expanding the company's global business.

Job Description

• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with local accounting standards and regulations
• Support internal audit processes and coordinate with external auditors during year-end audits
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner
• Handle tax compliance including preparation and submission of tax returns
• Monitor changes in tax laws and assist with tax planning strategies
• Manage and monitor the companys cash flow and analyze liquidity trends
• Prepare and maintain a full set of accounts with accurate financial records
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and strengthen internal control processes
• Recommend improvements to accounting procedures and support implementation of best practices
• Provide regular financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial projects as required

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficient in Chinese, English, and Bahasa Malaysia (both spoken and written).
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are an advantage.
• Proven experience in accounting, finance, or audit roles (manufacturing background is preferred).
• Experience with full set accounts, taxation, cash flow management, and audit is strongly preferred.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax laws and financial reporting standards.
• Independent, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
