Job summary

DayOne Data Centers Malaysia I Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Billing and Collections professional to manage invoice issuance, follow-ups, and dispute resolution. This role works closely with Sales, Operations, and Project teams to maintain accurate billing and cash flow.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in billing/AR, a Diploma in Finance or Accounting, and strong Excel skills. Prior SAP experience is a plus, with a focus on timely settlements and clean month-end closes.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in billing, AR, collections, or finance operations.

• Familiarity with AR systems and SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Issue invoices based on validated charges, coordinating with relevant departments.

• Follow up on overdue accounts and manage payment collection until resolution.
• Handle customer communication on invoice status, payment queries, and adjustments.
• Record collection activity and prepare status reports for management.
• Support month-end closing and reporting.
• Dispute resolution: handle billing disputes at first contact; escalate as needed.

About the Role

You'll own invoice issuance and collection follow-up for DayOne's billing operations, working closely with Sales, Operations, Project teams, and customers to keep billing accurate and disputes resolved on time.

Billing and Collection Operations

• Issue invoices based on validated charges, coordinating with relevant departments to confirm billable items.
• Ensure timely, accurate billing that protects cash flow and DSO.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• 1 to 2 years of experience in billing, AR, collections, or finance operations.
• Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Familiarity with AR systems and SAP is preferred.
• Experience with billing disputes and escalation is an advantage.
• Proficient in Excel and standard reporting tools.

Soft Skills

• Escalates aging accounts through the right channel rather than letting them sit.
• Manages multiple billing cycles and deadlines without losing accuracy.
• Keeps disputes moving toward resolution through clear communication with internal teams and customers.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in a data center or large corporate billing environment.
