Accounts Payable Specialist (Mandarin Speaking), you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations for our Mandarin‑speaking markets. Based in our shared services hub, you will ensure financial processes deliver exceptional impact through accurate processing, timely payments, and trusted partnerships—helping Roche maintain the stability needed to deliver healthcare solutions worldwide.

The Opportunity

• You will manage the end‑to‑end AP lifecycle, including receiving, verifying, and processing PO and Non‑PO invoices specifically for Mandarin‑speaking affiliates.

• You will handle communication and query resolution with vendors and internal stakeholders, utilizing your fluency in Mandarin to bridge communication gaps.

• You will execute payment runs (wire transfers, ACH, checks) and investigate any failed transactions to ensure continuity of supply.

• You will perform critical month‑end closing activities, including KPI reporting and balance sheet reconciliations (GR/IR, GIT, etc.).

• You will ensure all documentation meets Internal Control Financial Reporting (ICFR) standards and group policies.

• You will participate in process improvement projects and system testing as required under our collaborative "Buddy System."

Who You Are

• Language Proficiency: You are fluent in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken). Mandarin proficiency is mandatory to support specific regional country requirements.

• Education: You hold a Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.

• Experience: You have 1–2 years of experience in transactional accounting or Accounts Payable, ideally within a shared service or BPO environment.

• Technical Skills: You are proficient in SAP (or other ERP systems) and have strong MS Office skills. Experience with the SimpleBuy system is a distinct advantage.

• Contract Readiness: You are available for a 6-month contract (on Roche payout) and thrive in a performance‑driven environment with clear SLAs.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure all supplier and intercompany invoices for Mandarin‑speaking regions are processed and paid accurately within agreed timelines.

• Maintain strict adherence to local statutory requirements and Roche group financial guidelines.

• Resolve internal and external queries professionally and promptly in both English and Mandarin.
