A global maritime company located in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced accountant to manage seafarer payments, tax returns, and financial reconciliations. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Accounting, has at least 2 years of experience, and familiarity with SAP. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail, contributing to both regular accounting tasks and ad-hoc projects.
Verify seafarer contracts, movements & bank details updated in Crew Management Software.
Processing monthly/final wages & payments to seafarer using Crew Payroll Software (auto-interface to SAP).
Processing monthly statutory contributions for seafarer.
Processing Cash to Master payments and register its accounting entries into SAP.
Perform monthly/quarterly reconciliation of crew control accounts.
Yearly submission of employers’ income tax returns IR8A for seafarer.
Liaise with Business Units on operation matters.
Involve in other ad-hoc process improvement projects.
Degree in Accounting or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
Experience in SAP/payroll will be added advantage
Good interpersonal skills and detail oriented
