Accounts Executive/ Senior Accounts Executive

The Accounts Executive is responsible for maintaining accurate records of daily transactions, preparing balance sheets, and processing invoices to ensure the financial health of the company while meeting legal requirements. This role involves overseeing financial transactions and managing audits, invoices, and budget preparations. Key duties include updating the internal system with financial data, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, reconciling bank statements, tracking bank deposits and payments, assisting with budget preparation, and reviewing and implementing financial policies.

Tasks & responsibilities
  • Handle the full set of accounts and oversee month‑end closing activities, along with other related accounting tasks.
  • Coordinate and ensure that all daily transactions entered into the SAP system are accurate and comply with company policies, accounting standards, and the Companies Act.
  • Verify and ensure that all claims and payments are processed timely and in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Prepare audit schedules and monthly/yearly management reports.
  • Update bank records and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain and update the fixed assets register.
  • Complete tax submissions and reporting on a timely basis.
  • Liaise with auditors and tax agents to ensure timely statutory reporting.
  • Ensure accounts comply with statutory accounting and auditing standards.
  • Maintain proper accounting records and an organized filing system.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management, taking full accountability and responsibility as required.
You're a good fit if you are
  • Possess at least a Diploma / LCCI / Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (mandatory).
  • Have proven work experience as an Accounts Executive or in a similar role; experience in the adhesive or chemical manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply, provided they have an accounting educational background and a good working attitude.
  • Possess basic or advanced MS Excel skills, including data sorting.
  • Are computer literate, preferably with SAP knowledge.
  • Demonstrate good administrative, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Have excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
  • Are able to multitask, work in a fast‑paced environment, and meet deadlines.
  • Are able to communicate effectively in Chinese, English, and Malay; Mandarin language proficiency is A MUST to effectively communicate with Mandarin‑speaking clients.
  • Can work independently while also being a strong team player.
  • Show meticulous attention to detail, with strong prioritization and time‑management skills.
  • Are a quick learner with a positive and adaptable attitude.
  • Have strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
