Job summary

A financial services firm in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a skilled Accountant to manage financial functions, including preparation of financial reports, budgeting, and cash flow management. Candidates should have at least a Diploma in Finance/Accountancy and three years of relevant experience, preferably in the service or hospitality industry. Proficiency in Ms Excel, Ms Office, and SUN Accounting system is required, along with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • At least three years of working experience in the related field.
  • Experience in service and hospitality industry preferred.
  • Able to handle full set accounts independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial accounting support and analysis to business units.
  • Manage full spectrum of accounting functions including financial reports.
  • Prepare month-end closing and ensure accurate management reporting.

Job description

Provide financial accounting support and analysis to business units.

Managing full spectrum of accounting functions including timely preparation of financial and management reports, costing, budgeting, cash flow management, review and analysis of financial data and performance and banking matters.

Month‑end closing preparation and review.

Ensure accurate compilation, analysis and management reporting of accounting data.

Liaise with other parties i.e Internal and External Auditors, Tax Agent, Bankers and Company Secretary.

Participate in ad‑hoc projects assigned by Company.

Requirements:

Candidates must possess at least a Diploma in Finance/ Accountancy/ Business Administration or equivalent or part qualification from recognized accounting body.

At least three (3) years of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Experience in service and hospitality industry will be an added advantage.

Able to handle full set accounts independently.

Required skills: Ms Excel, Ms Office and SUN Accounting system.

Independent with strong communication skills.

Able to meet deadlines.

Proficient in English (both written and spoken).

Candidates with background in Hospitality industry will have an added advantage.

Salary shall commensurate with experience.
