A consulting company in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Accountant to manage full set accounts and ensure tax compliance for multiple companies. Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain full set of accounts for multiple companies.
  • Assist in preparing the Company's Business Plan and Budget.
  • Handle accounts payable and manage payments.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and monitor debts.
  • Ensure tax compliance and timely filing of tax returns.
  • Prepare annual Audit Financial Statements.
  • Ensure compliance with service tax requirements.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Handle inter-company reconciliations.
  • Complete ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Job description
Responsibilities
  • Preparation of full set accounts for Ikram Engineering Consulting Sdn Bhd (IEC) and KI Integrated Consultant Sdn Bhd (KIIC): Manage and maintain the full set of accounts, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Provide assistance in the preparation of the Company’s Business Plan and Budget.
  • Accounts payable management: key in invoices, prepare payment vouchers, conduct online payments, and arrange obtaining relevant approvals for companies under care.
  • Accounts receivable management: responsible for checking and monitoring the debtor’s aging, following up on long‑overdue debts including the inter‑company balances.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax‑related matters, including timely filing of tax returns and handling for companies under care.
  • Preparation of Audit Financial Statements (AFS) on a yearly basis, including liaising with external parties such as Auditors and Tax Agents.
  • Service Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all SST matters, including timely submission to Customs for companies under care.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations for companies under care on a monthly basis.
  • Responsible for the inter‑company reconciliation and ensuring that all reconciliation items are discharged accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform ad‑hoc tasks assigned by Accountant and Head of Finance from time to time.
